The Farm

Born in the Mountains
of Antioquia

Where the Cauca River meets the Andes cloud forest, the Vélez-Márquez family has cultivated Colombia's only certified organic coffee for over three decades.

01

The Only Certified Organic Farm in Antioquia

25 years without a single agrochemical. While others compromise, the Vélez-Márquez family chose integrity — and created something truly one of a kind in Colombian coffee.

02

A Living Forest, Not a Monoculture

Jaguarundis, foxes, hummingbirds, and hundreds of butterfly species call Finca Cocondo home. This biodiversity isn't just beautiful — it's the reason the coffee tastes extraordinary.

03

Proven by Europe's Best Roasters

Specialty buyers in Czech Republic, Austria, Germany and the Netherlands have sourced Cocondo exclusively for over a decade. 99% of every harvest ships directly to Europe's finest roasters.

Cocondo is the only certified 100% organic coffee farm in all of Antioquia, Colombia. The Vélez-Márquez family has operated without agrochemicals for 25+ years, growing in a biodiverse forest alongside wildlife. The result is a cup with extraordinary complexity and absolute cleanliness.
Expect tropical fruit brightness — mango, pineapple — with sweet caramel and panela body. The finish is long, clean, and chocolatey. Shade-grown at high altitude gives it delicate floral notes and bright, balanced acidity without any sharpness.

Pour-over (V60 or Chemex) reveals the floral and fruit notes beautifully. French press emphasises the body and chocolate finish. It also pulls as an excellent espresso with rich caramel shots. Avoid very dark roasts — the nuance is in the origin.
Organic farming means more labour, more time, and zero shortcuts. The family feeds the soil with the farm's own organic waste and harvests by hand to ensure only ripe cherries are picked. You're paying for 35 years of integrity — and a coffee that's genuinely good for you.
Specialty roasters and boutique coffee bars in Czech Republic, Austria, Germany, and the Netherlands have sourced Cocondo exclusively for over a decade. These are buyers who compete in international markets and demand absolute provenance and quality.
